Belief Assessment
A belief is a FEELING of certainty that something is true, it doesn’t make it actually true, it just means that you feel like it is true. Your beliefs are also the filter that you see and experience the world through, so identifying those beliefs will help you understand the foundation and blueprint you currently live your life by.
Start by identifying the beliefs that shape your perception of the world and yourself. Reflect on these questions:
Impact Analysis Analyze how these beliefs affect your daily actions and decisions.
Consider how they influence your reactions to challenges and opportunities. Write down specific instances where your beliefs directed your behavior, positively or negatively.
Reframing Exercise For any beliefs that you find are limiting your potential or causing you stress, try a reframing exercise. Write down the limiting belief, then challenge it by asking:
Create positive affirmations that reflect your new, supportive beliefs.
These affirmations should be stated in the present tense, be positive, and embody the change you wish to see.
For example, if you've identified a belief such as "I am not good enough to run a successful business," you could reframe it to "I am fully capable and equipped to lead a successful business."
Integration Plan Plan how you will integrate these new beliefs into your daily routine. Consider setting reminders to affirm your new beliefs, journaling about changes you notice, or discussing your progress with a mentor or peer group.
Vision Statement Prompt Imagine your ideal future. Write down in detail where you are, what you are doing, who is with you, and how you feel. This is your space to dream big and outline your ultimate aspirations.
Visualization Exercise Close your eyes and envision your perfect day from the moment you wake up to when you go to sleep. What do you see, hear, and feel?
Capture these moments here to help bring your vision to life.
Inspiration Board Create a board that represents your vision. You can draw, paste images, or write words that inspire you and resonate with your goals. Think of this as a visual representation of all you aspire to achieve.
Core Values Assessment Reflect on times in your life when you felt truly fulfilled.
What were you doing? Who were you with? Identify the core values driving those experiences and write them down.
Purpose Statement Exercise Based on your core values and vision, craft a purpose statement.
Ask yourself: What activities make you lose track of time? What needs in society or the market are you passionate about addressing?
Role Models List people whose lives or careers inspire you. What qualities or achievements do they have that align with your vision and purpose? How can you emulate these in your own journey?
